We combine new school tech and old school play
Demo: Spare Parts (Creativity)
Spare Parts is an interactive experience designed to help children build and flex creativity skills in a fun, engaging way - without a screen! In this game, our robot has a few problems (forgotten password, hole in shirt, low battery, etc.) and children must use critical thinking, flexibility, and persistence to solve them. Our platform adapts to each child, is designed for repeat play, and aligns to educational standards.
What we do
SayKid has developed the world's 1st screenless, play-based learning platform. We combine voice tech in the form factor of a plush robot to help children learn in a safe, natural, and engaging way - children play the role of teacher and we promote group play to build those critical early relationships.
Early childhood development (ages 0-8) is critical. Unfortunately, most technology is not really designed to help young kids learn. For example, rigid form factors do not promote tangible play or imagination, touch interfaces do not help kids build social skills or language, and visual content often over-stimulates kids rather than engaging them. To make matters worse, the average child spends ~2.5 hours / day in front of screens, which negatively affects executive functioning, social skills, language development, etc.
SayKid combines old school play with new school technology to help kids learn. Children learn by "teaching" the robot. In doing so, they solve problems, navigate social situations, and model behavior. Our learning platform adapts to varying ages and abilities, supports individual and group play, and aligns to early learning standards.
